Snowy Range Ski Area
The Snowy Range
Ski Area can by reached off of Wyoming Highway 130. It is
approximately twenty-five miles west of Laramie and
seventy-five miles from Cheyenne, Wyoming.
The ski resort is surrounded by the Medicine Bow-Routt
National Forest. This area average nearly 250 inches of
snow each year. The peak elevation is at 10,000 feet
above sea level with a thousand foot vertical drop.
Snowy Range has over twenty-five maintained trails on
250 acres of ski area. There are four ski chairlifts and
one surface lift. The chairlifts are called the Pioneer,
Sundance, Chute, and the Virginian. Snowy Range offers a
kids program for ages four to ten. Snowboard and ski
lessons—both group and private—are available. The Snowy
Range Lodge offers food, drink, relaxation, and warmth
to tired skiers. A full-day lift ticket for the
2007-2008 ski season is forty-one dollars. Multiple day
lift tickets can be purchased.
